Seán Edogbo has agreed to a two-year senior contract with Munster, marking a notable milestone in his professional rugby journey.
The 21-year-old back-row forward, who is the younger brother of Munster and Ireland international Edwin Edogbo, first broke into the provincial team with a standout debut against the Dragons in January, earning the man-of-the-match honor in the process.
Edogbo is part of a rare group as the second player from Cobh Pirates to sign a senior Munster contract, continuing the legacy set by his sibling.
Before turning professional, he represented Munster at the U18 and U19 levels and later studied at University College Cork, where he debuted for the AIL in 2022.
On the international stage, he played for Ireland U20 during the 2024 Six Nations, memorably scoring a late-winning try against Italy at Virgin Media Park. He also took part in the World Rugby U20 Championship in the same summer.
Edogbo joined the Munster Academy in 2024 and traveled with Emerging Ireland to South Africa that September.
